Baldomero "Mero" Guerrero, 89, of Hereford, Texas, passed away on Friday, May 6, 2022, in Hereford, Texas. Mass of Christian Burial will be on Wednesday, May 11, 2022, at 2:00 PM at San Jose Catholic Church with Celebrant Ramon Molina officiating. Burial to follow at St. Anthony Cemetery. Arrangements and services have been entrusted to Mendez and Mullins Family Funeral Home of Hereford, Texas. Viewing will be on Tuesday, May 10, 2022, from 4:00-8:00 PM with rosary at 6:00 PM at the funeral home.

Baldomero was born February 27, 1933, in South Texas, to Atelano and San Juana (Cardena) Guerrero. Baldomero has been a resident of Hereford since the 1950's. He married the love of his life Emilia Gonzales in April of 1958. He worked for the City of Hereford for a few years, then Gonzales Brothers Plumbing and Holly Sugar from 1975 till his retirement in 1992; "Mero" was a member of the Hereford Charro Riding Club and San Jose Catholic Church. He enjoyed raising gaming roosters, racehorses, goats, pigs, and grey hounds; he loved attending the rooster fights, horse races, dancing, tinkering with antiques and his own vintage hot rod cars. He raised his own grey hounds for coon hunting and coyote hunting. Baldomero loved his family and enjoyed their everyday visits.

Those left to cherish his memories are his children Baldomero Guerrero, Jr. and his wife Melinda of Las Cruces, N.M., Delilah Murillo and her husband Jesse and Ruben Guerrero and his wife Yvonne all of Hereford, Texas; his brother Vincent Guerrero and his wife Yolanda of Hereford, Texas; 8 grandchildren Tiffinie Mendoza, Jesus "Anthony" Murillo, Jacob Murillo, Tamika Sola, Christopher Guerrero, Sierra Guerrero, Christian Guerrero and Emily Guerrero; 19 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Baldomero is preceded in death by his parents, his wife Emilia Guerrero, four sisters Petra Garcia, Cecilia, Velia Valdez and Mary Gamboa and a brother Jose Hernandez.
