Aurora "Gloria" Coronado, 83, a longtime resident of Hereford, Texas, passed away on Tuesday, February 6, 2024, in Mansfield, Texas. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Monday, February 12, 2024, at 11:00 AM at the Mendez and Mullins Family Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Yolanda Tarango officiating. Burial to follow at West Park Cemetery. Arrangements and services have been entrusted to Mendez and Mullins Family Funeral Home of Hereford, Texas. Visitation will take place on Sunday, February 11, 2024, from 2:00-4:00 PM at the funeral home.

Gloria was born on February 6, 1941, in Seguin, Texas, to Librado Felipe and Celia (Mendoza) Gonzales. Gloria has been a resident of Hereford for 62 years. She was employed years ago at Top Dollar, Hereford Credit Bureau and retired from Henderson Appliance. She was a devoted, loyal, and very active member of San Pablo Methodist Church. Gloria was the bookkeeper, Sunday School teacher, took care of the alter and communion on most Sunday's and volunteered for Vacation Bible School at San Pablo Methodist Church, while enjoying and loving every minute of it. She was a servant of God, with a tremendous faith and had an incredible love for her Lord and Savior. Gloria was a hard-worker, and enjoyed gardening, especially roses and really any kind of flower she had a passion for. She was a fantastic hand embroider, her favorite color was purple, and she was the best mother, and the most magnificent, excellent grandmother and great grandmother her children could have ever asked for. Gloria's world revolved around her grandchildren, they were her pride and joy. Gloria's presence and laughter will be dearly missed by many.

Those left to cherish her memories are her daughter, Annabelle Mercer and her husband Jackie of Grand Prairie, Texas; two grandchildren, Crystal McDowell and her husband Anthony of Cedar Hill, Texas, and Tiffany Cook and her husband John, of Lubbock, Texas; four great grandchildren, Kyland Tyler and Kaleb Tyler both of Cedar Hill, and Jayden Ray and Aubrie Ray both of Lubbock; her sister, Lupe Gouge of Amarillo, Texas, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Gloria is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Noe Coronado, three brothers, Santiago, Pedro and Ramon Gonzales, a granddaughter, Michelle Mercer, and a brother-in-law, Kenneth Gouge.
