Armando Barrientos, 68, of Hereford passed away, Sunday, February 25, 2018 in Hereford. Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday at 2:00 PM at La Iglesia de San Jose Catholic Church with celebrant Rev. Ramon Molina Mora with burial to follow at St. Anthony's Catholic Cemetery. Arrangements are being handled by Mendez and Mullins Family Funeral Home of Hereford. Rosary will be Wednesday evening at 6:00 PM at the funeral home.

Armando was born May 13, 1949 in Dawson County, Texas to Santos and Tomasa (Salazar) Barrientos. Armando has been a resident of Hereford for 51 years. He married Blanca           on January 8, 1973. He worked for Holly Sugar for three years and later was employed by Caviness Beef Packers for 15 years. He was a member of La Mision de San Jose Catholic Church of Hereford, he helped clean the church and was their handyman. Armando enjoyed working in the fields hoeing, listening to music, family cookouts, helping others, a Dallas Cowboy and Texas Rangers fan, telling stories "the Speech" his children called it, spending time with his dog, Pepe, but his greatest love was being with his grandchildren.

Those left to cherish his memories are his wife, Blanca Barrientos of Hereford, a daughter, Angie Quiroz and her husband Jacinto, Jr., three sons, Armando Barrientos, Jr. and his wife Anita, Rudy Barrientos and Edward Barrientos all of Hereford, two brothers, Juan Barrientos of Casa Grande, AZ., and Jose Barrientos of Amarillo and one sister, Celia Mejia of Casa Grande, AZ., sixteen grandchildren and three great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, a daughter, Monica Barrientos, three brothers, Santos, Rojelio and Marciello Barrientos and his dog, Pepe Barrientos.
