Argelia "Angie" Veloz Fernandez, 66, of Hereford, Texas passed on December 24, 2024, in Hereford surrounded by her loving family.

Argelia was born on February 17, 1958, in Toppenish, Washington to Tomas and Felipa (Salinas) Veloz. She met and married Efrain Delgadillo Fernandez in Piedras Negras, Coahuila, Mexico. Argelia has been a resident of Hereford since 1993. In her younger years Argelia worked as an agricultural field laborer, and in Hereford she worked at Kings Manor then Cargill for 15 years until retirement. Argelia enjoyed decorating, crafts, making jewelry, blankets, knitting, playing dominoes, watching telenovela clips on TikTok, cooking, baking, and grilling out. She had a green thumb and was proud of her indoor and outdoor plants. Argelia enjoyed making the holidays special and festive for the family with decorations and presents for everyone. Argelia was a funny, competitive, strong willed, independent, resilient, outspoken woman who took great care of and loved her children and grandchildren dearly.

Those left to cherish her memories are her children, Leticia Orozco and husband Mario, Jovanna Soto and husband Christian, Efrain Fernandez Jr. and wife Marisa, and Esmeralda Fernandez and Manuel Figueiras all of Hereford, Texas; grandchildren, Isabel Fernandez, Rafael Fernandez, Biounce Ruiz, Yovany Fernandez, Angelina Fernandez, Aliannah Soto, Audryna Fernandez, Azalea Figueiras, Madalynn Figueiras, Adrian Fernandez, and Liam Fernandez, great grandchildren; Matthew, Erin, and Shea Medeles; and sisters, Yolanda Veloz, Maggie Veloz, and Sonia Salinas all of San Antonio, Texas.

She is preceded in death by her parents Tomas and Felipa Veloz, husband Efrain Fernandez, six sisters, and two brothers.

Arrangements and Cremation Services have been entrusted to Mendez and Mullins Family Funeral Home of Hereford.
