Antonio (Toño) Ramirez, 66, of Hereford, Texas, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Saturday, May 10, 2025, in Hereford. Mass of Christian Burial will be on Saturday, May 17, 2025, at 10:00 AM at San Jose Catholic Church with Celebrant Arturo Meza officiating. Burial to follow at West Park Cemetery. Arrangements and services have been entrusted to Mendez and Mullins Family Funeral Home of Hereford, Texas. Viewing will be on Friday, May 16, 2025, from 2:00 – 8:00 PM with rosary at 6:00 PM at the funeral home.

Antonio was born on January 31, 1959, in Jalisco, Mexico, to Teodoro and Vaudelia (Davalos) Ramirez. Antonio met and married the love of his life, Candelaria Orozco Gonzalez, on February 5, 1992, together they had two beautiful children and a wonderful life. Antonio has been a resident of Hereford, Texas, for 27 years. He worked in road construction for Gilvin Terrill, Inc. for 11 years and more recently with Hereford Coop for 5 years. Antonio was a workaholic and enjoyed his job. He was a jack-of-all trades; a mechanic, a welder, a wonderful cook and recently appreciated woodworking, He always had the right tools for any job and took much pride in his tool collection and his CDL license and constantly had the best remedies and cure for all those family and friends he so dearly loved. He was an incredible provider, husband, father and grandfather. He gave exceptional advice and loved to tell and reenact stories. Antonio was disabled for the last 14 years of his life, but he never gave up and fought this battle to the very end. His presence, smile, laughter and fun sense of humor will be missed by all those who loved him dearly.

Those left to cherish and remember his life is his wife, Candelaria "Cande" Ramirez of Hereford, Texas, his children, Marcos Ramirez and his wife Patricia of Friona, Texas, and Yasmin Herrera and her husband Jovan of Hereford, Texas; 3 grandchildren, Adriel, Ella and Romeo Ramirez; his siblings, Fernando Ramirez and his wife Maria of Hereford, Texas, Carlos Ramirez and his wife Graciela Manriquez of Mexico, Maria Elena Ramirez of Amarillo, Texas, and Araceli Villalobos and her husband Jose of Hereford, Texas and several cousins, nieces, nephews and godchildren.

Antonio is preceded in death by his parents, Teodoro and Vaudelia Ramirez, his brother, Jesus Ramirez.

La Misa de Entierro Cristiano será el sábado 17 de mayo de 2025 a las 10:00 a.m. en la Iglesia Católica de San José con el celebrante Arturo Meza oficiando. A Antonio le preceden en la muerte sus padres, Teodoro y Vaudelia Ramírez, su hermano, Jesús Ramírez.
