Antonia "Toni" Rios, 86, of Hereford, Texas, passed away on Monday, January 23, 2023, in Hereford, surrounded by her loving family. A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be on Friday, February 10, 2023, at 2:00 P.M. at St. Anthony's Catholic Church with Celebrant Grant Spinhirne officiating. Burial of Cremains to follow at St. Anthony Catholic Cemetery. Arrangements and cremation services have been entrusted to Mendez and Mullins Family Funeral Home of Hereford, Texas. A Rosary will be held on Friday, February 10, 2023, at 11:00 A.M. at St. Anthony's Catholic Church.

Toni was born on May 20, 1936, in Eldorado, Texas, to Felix and Marta (Pena) Rios. She has been a resident of Hereford for thirty-plus years. Toni joined the convent entering Victory Noll as a nun in 1956 and faithfully served until 1975 and was known to many as Sister Concepcion. She traveled to many places during this time, sharing her faith and loving service to others and finishing her degree at Loyola University in Los Angeles. After graduating, she became involved with the Franciscan Communications Center media work in Los Angeles and then moved on to work at UCLA. Toni returned to her home in Hereford to care for her mother and other family members. She was a member of St. Anthony's Catholic Church, where she proudly volunteered with the school and church. Toni was a good friend; she was giving, positive, caring, humble, and sincere. She was bright and intelligent, a fun, loving, spiritual woman who was always busy helping others. She adored her friends and loved her family dearly. Toni was always there for her family; she was their angel.

Those left to cherish her memories are her sister Amelia Amaro and her husband Pedro of Hereford, Texas; niece Cynthia Trevino and her husband Ricky Prieto of Hereford, Texas; nephews, Michael Zuniga of Hereford, Texas, Arthur Zuniga, Jr. of Amarillo, Texas, Andrew Zuniga of Amarillo, Texas, and Alex Zuniga of California; numerous great nieces and nephews; and two best friends Sina and Ramona.

She is preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, Felix Rios, Robert Rios, and Roy Rios; and a sister Cecilia Rios.
