Antonia Diaz, 91, of Hereford, Texas passed away on August 15, 2021, in Hereford. Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday, August 19, 2021, at 2:00 P.M. with Celebrant Ramon Molina. Burial of cremains to follow at a later date and time. Arrangements and services have been entrusted to Mendez and Mullins Family Funeral Home of Hereford, Texas. Viewing will be held on Wednesday, August 18, 2021, from 1:00 -8:00 P.M. at the funeral home with Rosary being recited at 6:00 P.M.

Antonia was born on March 27, 1930, in Pleasanton, Texas to Bartolo and Dominga (Gonzales) Casias.  She married David Diaz, Sr. on December 20, 1946, in Lorenzo, Texas.  They moved to Hereford from Lorenzo in 1952.  Antonia was a homemaker, taking great care of her home and family. She enjoyed gardening, cooking for family and cooking for prisoners at Christmas time which she did for 25 years. She loved to feed the birds and the neighborhood pets. Antonia was a member of San Jose Church and the Guadalupana's; she served as the Gualdupana president for 30 years. Antonia was very giving, generous in her service to others, the church, her family, friends, and those in need.

Those left to cherish Antonia's memories are her five daughters, Carmen Martinez and her husband Tommy of Del City, Oklahoma, Beatrice Karlin of Hereford, Texas, Sylvia Jensen and her husband Don of Oklahoma City, Alice Coronado and her husband Mando of Hereford, Texas, and Iris Diaz of Hereford, Texas; one son Alex Diaz and his wife Isabel of Amarillo, Texas; sisters Linda Lopez and her husband Ruben of Lubbock, Texas, Margie Polanco and her husband Carlos of Post, Texas; brother Jesus Casias and his wife Irma of Lubbock, Texas; fifteen grandchildren, and sixteen great-grandchildren

She is preceded in death by her husband David Diaz, Sr. who passed away on April 17, 2014; son Danny Diaz; Sisters Emilia Cervantez, Tomasa Cervantez, Maria Diaz, Lupe Moreno, and Jovita Nañez; and a grandson Jason Diaz.
