Mark Anthony Guillen, known to all as "Anthony" passed away on Wednesday, February 21, 2024, in Amarillo, Texas at the age of 44 years old. Anthony is now rejoicing, walking the golden streets of Heaven with his Lord and Savior. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, March 1, 2024, at 11:00 A.M. with Father Jose Ricardo Zanetti officiating at San Jose Catholic Church. Burial of cremains to follow at St. Anthony's Catholic Cemetery. Cremation services have been entrusted to Mendez and Mullins Family Funeral Home of Hereford

Anthony was born in Friona, Texas on July 1, 1979, to his loving parents, Juan Guillen and Gavina (Gallegos) Guillen. Anthony was a long-time resident of Hereford, where he graduated from Hereford High class of 1997.

Anthony had a remarkable work ethic that he instilled in his children that he loved tremendously. Anthony held several job titles and positions over the years. He was a volunteer fire fighter for Friona Fire Department many years. Anthony always had a joke up his sleeve to share with his loving family. Anthony was known to use his voice when needed and he sure did use his voice often.

Anthony was known to his grandchildren as the "Best Grandpa" they loved their "P-paw" and will miss him dearly. Anthony was an avid Dallas Cowboy's fan and loved to hang out and enjoy a cold one. He always seemed to know exactly what to say and when to say it, he gave very wise advice to his children, and they will cherish his words of wisdom for eternity.

Those left to carry on his remarkable legacy are his children, Brandie Guillen of Amarillo, Texas, Mark Guillen, Joshua Guillen and his wife Amber all of Monahans, Texas, Ivan Coronado, D' Andra Castillo all Hereford, Texas; his siblings, Jessie Guillen and his wife Roni, Norma Guillen all of Amarillo, Texas, Celia Rico, Ramiro Guillen, Mario Gonzalez, Abel Rico and his wife Carrie all of Hereford, Texas; his grandchildren that he loved and cherished whole heartly, Mark Guillen, Ava Mae Guillen, Emma Jade Guillen, Mina Rose Guillen, one blessing baby boy on the way; his step-father, Abel Rico of Hereford, Texas.
