Amanda "Mandy" Scott, 49, of Hereford, Texas passed away Wednesday, October 30, 2019 in Hereford. Graveside services will be Monday, November 4, 2019 at 10:30 AM at West Park Cemetery with Pastor Ted Taylor officiating. Celebration of Life Service will follow at 11:00 AM at the Hereford Church of the Nazarene. Arrangements and services have been entrusted to Mendez and Mullins Family Funeral Home of Hereford, Texas. Viewing will be Sunday from 2:00-5:00 PM at the funeral home.

Amanda was born April 19, 1970 in Huntsville, Alabama to Jerry and Jennie Linda (Egan) Johnson. Amanda graduated from Plano Senior High in 1988. She married John Scott on June 3, 1995. She and John owned and operated Outlaw Café in Clarksville, Tennessee where Amanda was the chef. Amanda has been a resident of Hereford since 2016 moving from Ranger, Texas where she worked as the secretary at Calvary Baptist Church. Amanda loved to go on road trips, she and her family named herself, "U-Haul Mama". She loved to cook, do crafts and singing with her beautiful voice the Lord blessed her with. More than anything else in the world, Amanda loved her children and her husband, she wanted lots of grandbabies. Amanda was a beautiful mother and wife who loved the Lord with all her heart.

Those left to cherish her memories are her husband John Scott of Hereford, Texas, a son Alexander Scott of Albany, Texas and three daughters Hannah, Sarah and Taylor Scott all of Hereford, Texas; her parents Jerry and Linda Johnson of Hideaway, Texas; two sisters Stacy Hansard and her husband Kevin of Dallas, Texas and Dana Frank and her husband Andrew of Coppell, Texas; two grandchildren Trevin and Payton Scott of Albany, Texas and her in-laws Joe and Cathy Trowbridge of Pepperell, MA.
