Amado Medeles, 71, a lifelong resident of Hereford, Texas, passed away on Friday, January 21, 2022, in Hereford, Texas. Funeral services will be Monday, January 24, 2022, at 10:00 AM at Good News Church with Pastor David Alvarado officiating. Burial to follow at West Park Cemetery. Arrangements and services have been entrusted to Mendez and Mullins Family Funeral Home of Hereford, Texas. Viewing will be on Sunday, January 23, 2022, from 3:00-8:00PM at the funeral home.

Amado was born January 2, 1951, in Roma, Texas, to Manuel and Dora (Del Bosquez) Medeles. Amado has been a lifelong resident of Hereford, Texas, and has been a farm laborer all his adult life. He loved singing for Christ, mowing lawns, riding one of his 3 bicycles, red, green, and the purple one being his favorite bike, walking and getting his exercise, either outside or on his antique treadmill, collecting rocks, but his favorite past time was spending time with his family, especially his brother Lionel and his wife Rosie, who took care of him. Amado will be missed by many family members.

Those left to cherish his memories are his wife, Teresa Medeles of Hereford, Texas; his children Virginia Rodriguez and her husband Eli of Amarillo, Texas, Barney Salinas of Amarillo, Maryann Valdez, Robert Perez and Patricia Medeles all of Hereford, Texas; several grandchildren; his siblings Candelario Medeles and his wife Anna, Margie Perez, Lionel Medeles and his wife Rosie, Irene Martinez, Amelia Saucedo and her husband Joe and Lisa Lopez all of Hereford, Texas, and Juan Medeles of Laredo, Texas; a sister-in-law Janie Medeles of Sterling City, Texas; several nieces and nephews Cande Medeles, Jr. and his wife Isabel of Colorado, Ramiro Medeles, Jr and his wife Bella of Hereford, Texas, Jenne Trevizio, Analisa Carrillo, J.J. Amado is preceded in death by his parents Manuel and Dora Medeles, and two brothers Arnulfo "Wero" Medeles and Ramiro Medeles, Sr.
