Alicia G. Estrada, 82, of Hereford, Texas passed away on May 15, 2020, in Hereford. Mass of a Christian burial will be held on Wednesday, May 20, 2020, 3:00 PM at St. Anthony's Catholic Church with Father Tony Neusch officiating. To attend mass of Christian burial, a mask must be worn, provided by you. There will be no restroom or cry room available, per St. Anthony's Church. Viewing will take place Tuesday, May 19, 2020 from 5:00 to 8:00 PM with a prayer service beginning at 6:30 PM at the funeral home. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Mendez and Mullins Family Funeral Home of Hereford. Due to the COVID -19 only (10) people will be allowed in the funeral home at one time and only (10) people can be up under the tent at graveside, all others attending must stand back. Your well being and safety matter to us.

Alicia was born August 24, 1937 to Antonio and Aurora (Baca) Gonzales in Trujillo, New Mexico. She married Margarito Estrada November 27, 1955. She was a resident of Hereford for over 40 years and a member of St. Anthony's Catholic Church. Alicia was a homemaker and a great cook, especially enchilada's, potatoes, tortillas, and jello cake. She was very family oriented, her grandchildren and greatgrandchildren were her pride and joy. She loved spending time with the love of her life, Margarito. In her younger days, she and her spouse enjoyed traveling. Alicia spent time in prayer, praying the rosary every night and praying for everyone.

Those left to cherish Alicia's memories are her husband of 65 years Margarito; stepmother Marcellia Gonzales of Arizona; daughters: Telina Estrada and Charisse Gilbreath both from Hereford, Texas; grandson's: Robert Estrada and his wife Minerva, Ben Estrada, and Jesse Estrada all from Hereford, Texas; granddaughter Roberta Estrada of Houston, Texas; 6 great grandchildren: Mia Estrada, Ezra Arriaga, Elijah Arriaga, Mallory Arriaga, Jonathan Moreno, and Faith Estrada; sisters: Vangie Gonzales and husband Domingo of Tucumcari, New Mexico, Teri Chavez and husband James, Mary Baca, Darlene Padilla and husband Toby all from Albuquerque, New Mexico and Nora Gonzales of Arizona; brothers: Fred Gonzales and wife Julia of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Antonio Gonzales and wife Maria, Anselmo Gonzales and wife Lucia both of Las Vegas, New Mexico, Domingo Gonzales and wife Sylvia of Tucumcari, New Mexico; sister-in-law Patsy Lopez of Tucumcari, New Mexico; and brother-in-law Frank Vallejos of Albuquerque, New Mexico.

She is preceded in death by parents; sons: Michael and George Estrada; grandson Victor Estrada; brother Carlos Gonzales; sister Aurora Vallejos; nephews: Ricky and Freddy Gonzales.
