Alejandro "AJ" Lozoya, 20, of Hereford, Texas passed away on August 24, 2024, in Fort Stockton, Texas. A Graveside Service is scheduled for Saturday, August 31, 2024, at 10:00 A.M. at St. Anthony Catholic Cemetery in Hereford, with Father Grant Spinhirne officiating. Visitation and Viewing will be on Friday, August 30, 2024, from 1:00 – 6:00 P.M. at the funeral home with the rosary recited at 4:30 P.M. Arrangements and Services have been entrusted to Mendez and Mullins Family Funeral Home of Hereford.

AJ was born on August 13, 2004, in Elk City, Oklahoma to Joe Martin Lozoya and Kristi Kauley. AJ grew up in Hereford where he attended school and worked as a ranch hand. He was a proud member of the Cheyenne and Arapaho Tribe of Oklahoma. AJ was funny, always had a smart comment or remark, and enjoyed a good joke. He was very helpful, crafty, and able to fix just about anything, and occasionally with the help of YouTube. AJ was joyful and liked to break out in a dance even without music and he loved everyone, especially his family, nieces and nephews, and he was loved by them.

Those left to cherish his memories are his mother, Kristi Kauley of Clinton, Oklahoma; paternal grandmother Mary Lozoya of Hereford, Texas; maternal grandmother Arleen Kauley of Red Rock, Oklahoma; siblings, Kathryn Lozoya and partner Athan Concha of Hereford, Texas, Desirey Hardy and husband Demetrius of Amarillo, Texas, Daniel Lozoya and wife Sarina of Clinton, Tennessee, and Ariayanna Lozoya of Fort Stockton, Texas; nieces and nephews, Sarai Lozoya, Athan Concha, Jr., Aaniyah Hardy, Andreas Hardy, Kylie Lozoya, and Jacob Lozoya; uncles Chris Lozoya and wife Virginia of Hereford, Texas, Jonathan Lozoya of Hereford, Texas, and Matthew Kendall Kauley and wife Sarah of Hammon, Oklahoma; aunts, Monica Redhat and husband Steve of Longdale, Oklahoma, Brenda Smith and husband Greg of Kingfisher, Oklahoma, and Mary Baca and husband Gilbert of Portales, New Mexico.

He is preceded in death by his dad Joe Martin Lozoya, paternal grandfather Joe Lozoya, Sr., and maternal grandfather Kenneth Kauley.
