Agustina G. Martinez, 81, of Hereford passed away Monday, January 15, 2018 in Hereford. Cremation services are being handled by Mendez and Mullins Family Funeral Home of Hereford. Rosary will be Wednesday evening at 6:00 PM at the funeral home. A memorial Mass will be on Friday, January 26, 2018 at 2:00 PM at La Iglesia de San Jose Catholic Church of Hereford.

Agustina was born April 14, 1936 in Mexico. Agustina has been a resident of Hereford for 45 plus years. She was a member of La Iglesia de San Jose Catholic Church for many years. She was an excellent baker and cook. Agustina enjoyed reading, telling jokes, tending to her baby calves, yardwork, reminiscing with her children of her younger days, praying for her family, friends and even those that just needed a prayer. She was a very loving and caring individual, who always put others before herself, she was very thankful to those who helped her. Agustina loved her cats, her children and family and was the greatest mother, grandmother and great grandmother, she was always there for anyone who needed her.

Those left to cherish her memories are her children, Jose M. Martinez, Jr., Maria Almaraz and her husband Antonio, Ofelia Mendez and her husband Alejandro, Pascuala Maria Martinez all of Hereford, Juan Antonio Martinez of Edinberg, Texas, Victoria Alonso and her husband Raul of Dallas, Enedina Martinez of Amarillo, Josefina Martinez and Toni Guerra and her husband Kris all of Hereford, Sara Victoria Alonso of Dallas, a daughter-in-law, Rosa Martinez of Hereford; three sisters, Maria Gallegos, Martha Correa both of Houston and Victoria Ruiz of Mexico; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren and many nieces and nephew.

Agustina is preceded in death by her husband, Jose Maria Martinez, Sr., a son, Jose Jesus Martinez, a granddaughter, Tina Ceclia Mendez and a brother, Felix Gallegos.
