Adolfo Del Toro, 88, of Hereford, Texas, passed away on July 24, 2024, in Amarillo, Texas. Viewing and Visitation will be on Sunday, July 28, 2024, from 2:30 – 8:00 P.M. at Mendez and Mullins Family Funeral Home, with Rosary beginning at 6:00 P.M. Mass of Christian Burial will be on Monday, July 29, 2024, at 10:00 A.M. at San Jose Catholic Church with Father Grant Spinhirne officiating. The burial will take place at Hillcrest Cemetery in Uvalde, Texas, on Wednesday, July 31, 2024, at 10:00 A.M. under the direction of Mendez and Mullins Family Funeral Home of Hereford, Texas

Adolfo Del Toro was born on July 25, 1935, in Menard, Texas to Armando and Aurora (Garcia) Del Toro. He was the oldest of 8 children and grew up in Menard and Hereford. Adolfo proudly served his country in the United States Army.

Adolfo married Maria Guadalupe "Lupana" Enriquez and moved to Uvalde Texas. Adolfo was with Lupana until her last breath, on April 14, 1990.

Adolfo worked as a laborer in farming and sheep shearing and later in life in carpentry and repair work.  He also enjoyed buying and selling all kinds of trinkets, furniture, vehicles, and equipment.

In June of 1992, Adolfo found love again and married Margaret (Salinas).  He moved back to Hereford Texas to begin his new adventure with Margaret. Margaret and Adolfo enjoyed dancing, music, and traveling together.  He liked to go camping and fishing in Menard, Texas and enjoyed drinking coffee with friends. Adolfo was a hardworking, focused and determined man who loved and cared for his family.

He is survived by his wife Margaret Del Toro of Hereford, Texas, three children: Daughter, Yvette Gallegos and husband Alfredo from Waxahachie, TX; Sons, Hector Del Toro and wife Hanna from Austin, TX; Rolando Del Toro and wife Diana from San Antonio, TX; grandchildren, Rolando Del Toro Jr, Maria Alette Gallegos, Marissa Yvette Gallegos-Mercado, Tristian Orlando Del Toro, Christian Alejandro Del Toro, Mariella Louise Del Toro, and Ulysess Evan Del Toro; great grandchildren,  Miyah, Levi, Ivan, Luca, and Amari from Waxahachie TX; siblings, Rey Del Toro and wife Gloria of Muleshoe, Texas, Armando Del Toro and wife Diana of Lubbock, Texas, Aurora Flores and husband Eusebio of Hereford, Texas, and Eleo Del Toro and wife Toni of Grand Prairie, Texas; two step children, Daniel Antonio Perez and wife Amber of Brookings, South Dakota and Natalie Anita Garza of Hayti, South Dakota; seven step grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Armando and Aurora Del Toro; wife and mother of his children Maria Guadalupe Del Toro; brothers Jose Del Toro and Salvador Del Toro, and sister Alicia Ramirez.
