Adelina Campos, 56, a lifelong Hereford resident passed away Tuesday, December 8, 2020 in Amarillo, Texas. Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday, December 14, 2020 at 3:00 PM at San Jose Catholic Church with Celebrant Nestor Lara officiating, burial to follow at St. Anthony's Cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted to Mendez and Mullins Family Funeral Home of Hereford, Texas. Viewing will be Sunday, December 13, 2020 from 3:00 PM -8:00 PM with rosary at 6:00 PM at the funeral home. Due to the COVID virus a mask is mandatory at both the funeral home and church and only 50 people are allowed at any one given time in the funeral home. Your safety and health matter to us.

Adelina was born March 5, 1964 in Muleshoe, Texas to Raul and Francisca (Reyes) Murillo. Adelina has been a resident of Hereford since 1964, she attended and graduated from Hereford High School in 1982 and shortly thereafter attended West Texas A & M University. She married the love of her life, Baldomero Campos on December 1, 1984. Adelina was a caseworker for the Texas Department of Human Health Service for 28 years, retiring in 2015. She was a member of San Jose Catholic Church, a former volunteer for CASA and she taught CCD classes at her church. Adelina was known for teaching "Grandma University", she truly, loved and adored and lived for her grandchildren; she attended and never missed their events. She also loved all her nieces and nephews; she was the coolest and best aunt ever. Adelina enjoyed going to the casinos and gambling, traveling with all her retired friends, she loved to dance, bake desserts, and cook her fabulous Mexican entrees, she helped cater with Blaizin Bar-B-Que. Adelina loved family and social gatherings and she took joy in planning events and cherished her home being full of family and friends, she especially enjoyed her morning coffee with all her retired buddies, in their pj's watching the Today show. She will be dearly missed by her family and numerous friends.

Those left to cherish her memories are her husband, Baldomero Campos of Hereford, TX., her daughter, Vanessa Campos Tarango and her husband Rafael of Hereford, TX.; her siblings Arturo "Art" Murillo and his girlfriend, Jennifer Palomino of Amarillo, Jessie Murillo and his wife Delilah, Alice Gonzales and her husband Philip (Adelina's bonus son) all of Hereford, TX. and Daisy Perez and her husband Louis of Abilene, TX.; three grandchildren, Blaize, Kaiden and Lauren Tarango.

Adelina is joining her parents, a daughter, Brandy Campos, a sister, Anna Martinez and four brothers, Roy Murillo, Robert Murillo, Sammy Murillo, and Johnny Martinez in heaven.
