Adelaido F. Padilla, 76, of Hereford, Texas passed away Sunday, August 1, 2021, in Hereford, Texas. Viewing will be on Thursday, August 5, 2021, from 2:00-8:00 PM at the funeral home and rosary to be recited at 6:00 PM. Arrangements and cremation services have been entrusted to Mendez and Mullins Family Funeral Home of Hereford, Texas.

Adelaido was born April 15, 1945, on a ranch in the town of Trementina, New Mexico to Nocario and Camila (Sanchez) Padilla. He was raised and grew up on the ranch in New Mexico. He helped his brother, Pete, raise cattle and tend to all the other farm animals. He later moved to Hereford, Texas in 1967 and met and married his wife, Guadalupe, in 1969. They were married up until her passing in 2015. He and Guadalupe loved to garden vegetables, especially corn and squash and many other vegetables; they also raised chickens, sheep, and horses. Adelaido loved to listen to Spanish music, and told many stories to his family and friends, he was a great storyteller.

Those left to cherish his memory are his siblings, Carolina Romero, and Esmerelda Saiz both of Hereford, Texas, Pauline Gallegos of Las Vegas, New Mexico and Pete Padilla of Hereford, Texas and many nieces and nephews.

Adelaido will be joining his grandparents, his parents, his wife, Guadalupe Padilla, his half brothers and sisters, Simona Padilla, Nocario Padilla, Jose Madrid, Agnes Padilla and Corina Aguilar, a sister-in-law, Mary Padilla, four brothers-in-law, Orlando Baca, Frank Gallegos, Selso Romero and Steve Saiz.
