Ada McCutchen, 82, of Hereford, Texas, passed away on Thursday, March 7, 2024, in Amarillo, Texas. Funeral services will be on Thursday, March 14, 2024, at 1:30 PM at Calvary Family Church in Hereford with Pastor Ruben Coronado officiating. Graveside services will follow at 4:00 PM at Rose Hill Cemetery in Tulia, Texas. Arrangements and services have been entrusted to Mendez and Mullins Family Funeral Home of Hereford, Texas. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 13, 2024, from 5:00-7:00 PM at the funeral home.

Ada was born on February 15, 1942, in Crowell, Texas, to Cecil and Edna (Killough) Daniel. Ada has been a resident of Hereford since 1984. She worked in the answering service field for several years.  Ada married Leon McCutchen in 2000 and together they had a wonderful life up until his passing in 2018. She enjoyed attending her church, camping, traveling, bird watching and being outdoors; she loved walking around her little community (King's Manor Cottages) and visiting with all her neighbors. Ada enjoyed volunteering at the Hereford Senior Citizens Meals on Wheels and participating in the Festival Trees and being a part of the melodrama.  Ada's presence will be missed.

Those left to cherish her memories are her three children, Diane Cathey of Amarillo, Texas, Gaylene Thompson and her husband Danny of Coleman, Texas, and Leanne Bolen and her husband Charles of Ballinger, Texas; a daughter-in-law, Christine Little of Abernathy, Texas; 11 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, and 11 great-great grandchildren; 3 brothers, Buck Daniel, Delton Daniel and his wife Nita all of Lubbock, Texas, and Lynn Daniel and his wife Sally of Elgin, Texas.

Ada is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Leon McCutchen, a son, Kenny Little, 4 sisters, Wanda, Virginia, Della, and Norma, and 3 brothers, Euel, Gary, and Preston.
