Ada "Alma" Liscano, 67, of Hereford, Texas, passed away on Tuesday, November 3, 2020 in Hereford. Mass of a Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, November 11, 2020at 10:00 AM at San Jose Catholic Church with Monsignor Arturo Mesa as celebrant.  Cremation services have been entrusted to Mendez and Mullins Family Funeral Home of Hereford. Viewing will be held on Tuesday, November 10, 2020 from 1:00 to 8:00 PM, with Rosary being recited at 6:00 PM. Due to the COVID- 19 virus, everyone attending Mass must wear a mask provided by you.  Your health and safety matter to us.

Alma was born on August 20, 1953 to Baltolo and Esperanza (Contreras) Galvan in Mission, Texas. She was a lifelong resident of Hereford. Alma married Santos Liscano and they shared 49 wonderful years together. She worked for Hereford Independent School District and was a recipient of the Paraprofessional of the Year award for 2013 – 2014. Alma was a member of San Jose Catholic Church where she was a Guadalupana, Catechists, and God Mother to many.

Alma spent many hours in her garden and loved to tend to her roses, she loved to cook and was "a very good cook." She greeted everyone with a loving heart and warm smile on her face. Alma was an extremely hard worker and always willing to lend a helping hand. She will be greatly missed by many.

Those left to cherish her memories are her husband, Santos Liscano of Hereford, one son Santos Liscano; Jr. of Lubbock; two brothers, Juan Galvan and wife Celia of Zapata, Texas, and Jamie Galvan of Memphis, Texas; three sisters, Anita Galvan, Mila Galvan and Emma Galvan all of Hereford, Texas. Three grandchildren Linda Hope Liscano, Jordan Liscano and Noah Liscano.

Alma is preceded in death by her parents and two daughters Linda Liscano and Tammy Liscano.
