Abraham "Abe" Ibarra, 69, of Hereford, Texas died Sunday, August 12, 2018 in Hereford. Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday, August 16, 2018 at 10:00 AM at La Iglesia de San Jose with Rev. Ramon Molina Mora officiating. Cremation services are being entrusted to Mendez and Mullins Family Funeral Home of Hereford. Family and friend viewing will begin Tuesday afternoon. Rosary will be Wednesday evening at 6:00 PM at the funeral home.

Abe was born March 18, 1949 to Climente and Romula (Alvarado) Ibarra in Mexico. He has been a lifetime resident of Hereford; he was employed by several feed yards in Hereford for over 53 years, most of his employment was at Barrett and Crofoot. He enjoyed fixing vehicles, traveling to see loved ones, whether they were in the United States or Mexico. Abe's most recent hobby was spending time with his grandchildren, he also enjoyed welding, listening to music, playing dominoes, he enjoyed cookouts, dancing, and spending time with his buddies.

Those left to cherish his memories are his wife Josephine Gallegos of Hereford; his children; Marina Ibarra and husband Sergio Lopez of Ft. Worth; Ignacio (Nacho) Ibarra of Waco; Arnulfo Ibarra and wife Carmela; Miguel Ibarra and wife Claudia; Maria (Lupe) Bonilla Ibarra, all of Ft. Worth; Abraham Ibarra, Jr.; Julie Ibarra both of Waco; Amanda Ruiz and Jessica Graves and husband Joseph; James Ibarra and wife Bianca all of Hereford; Gracie Huerta and husband Jose and Javier Ibarra and wife Samantha all of Odessa; 40 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents, one son, baby Ibarra in 1983; one grandson, Simon Ibarra; three brothers, Polo Alvarado Ibarra, Pablo Alvarado Ibarra and Augustine Ibarra; one daughter-in-law, Maria Ibarra; his mother-in-law Reymunda DeLaCruz, his father-in-law, Sabas DeLaCruz and a brother-in-law, Antonio (Tony) DeLaCruz.
